Description: JYG is a community of middle school kids and their leaders who gather together on a regular basis to celebrate God and look for ways to support each other as we seek to live our best lives for God. Because when you’re in Junior High so much is unreliable. At this age things change so quickly in yourselves and in your surroundings; voices, friendships, bodies, emotions, alliances, and beliefs just to name a few. James 1:17 says: “Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.” Isn’t it a comfort to know that in a world where so much is hard to count on, God remains the same? We worship a God who is unchanging in His love and care for us.

This year in JYG, we are presently using an online resource called Faith Practices. This is an exciting resource aimed at encouraging youth to practice their faith through hands-on activities and games. JYG's leaders this year are: Jeff Curl, Alisa Bernat and Jen Bethel. These three are directed by our Christian Education Coordinator, Heather O'Toole. We always welcome youth to invite a friend to both social events and JYG meetings.

When and Where: JYG meets most Sunday mornings in the youth room during church service throughout the school year.

Service projects and socials occur monthly throughout the season. Social events may include mini golf, bowling, roller skating, live nativity, movie and pizza night and more. Community service projects may include fall leaf raking on the church grounds, Advent/Christmas cookie baking and delivery, Valentines for seniors and our annual Walk for the Homeless project.
