We welcome patrons from Upton and neighboring towns. The Food Pantry is staffed at all times by our Food Pantry Coordinators, church and community volunteers who are available to greet and assist our patrons. We do not require any proof of residency or income, but we require paperwork that asks for your name, address, phone, number in household (for our own records only).

Food Assistance:

Patrons are allowed up to 3 grocery bags worth of food, paper goods and toiletries per visit. When visiting, patrons are asked to fill out a request sheet that specifies items needed/wanted most. Requests are fulfilled as supplies allow.

       Holiday Meal Baskets:

We know that sharing a meal around special days of the year is a deeply human and spiritualThanksgiving Baskets 2017 blessing that all people should be able to enjoy if they choose to. Therefore we offer the basic ingredients of a holiday meal for households that request it (and are not receiving such help elsewhere) for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter holidays. Requests must be made in writing using our request form and submitted to the food pantry staff by the dates specified. Donations for the holiday meal baskets are provided by the members of the United Parish and food pantry donations.

We gratefully welcome and receive donations of non-perishable food, paper goods and toiletries from many, many people and organizations, as well as our own members. Donations can be dropped off at the church office during business hours, Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 - 3:00,  Sunday mornings, or by special arrangement by contacting the church office. Please check expiration dates on donated food items!

Cash/check gifts and grocery store gift cards are used to purchase additional supplies to augment donations. Please make checks out to: "The United Parish" with "Food Pantry" on the memo line. They, too, can be dropped off during office hours or mailed to our address (P.O. Box 382 Upton, MA 01568).

We love our partners!

We have wonderful community partners who help us do what we do!

The Nipmuc Regional High School VISTA Program: Under the direction of David Antonelli, VISTA program students shop for, stock and sort our food pantry shelves, offering most welcome assistance and gaining great "real world" experience.

The Upton Men's Club and Unibank have been a generous contributors to our food pantry!

Immanuel Chapel, Upton, hosts an on-going drive to stock our pantry.

The Nipmuc Regional High School National Honor Society runs an annual food drive to help restock the pantry shelves.

The Students & Teachers at Memorial Elementary School held a coin collection drive and raised and donated over $1,000.00 to the Food Pantry.

Scout troops, youth groups, birthday parties, community organizations and numerous individuals often make special collections or run food drives for our benefit. We are so grateful! "It takes a village!"
